Are You Overwhelmed?

Are you overwhelmed? Is your stuff out-of-control? Are you about to scream? Well, I'm here to tell you there is hope.

You should know, first of all, that you are not alone. Everyone, at some point in time, has difficulty managing when life is hectic. You have a lot to do. You may have kids, a job, school or any number of things that interfere with your ability to have a perfectly organized home. And, believe me, no one has a perfectly organized home.

So, stop, for just a moment. Try to feel, what about your living space is causing you the most angst. I mean really experience the emotion that you sense when you examine the areas of your home. Are you frustrated by a lot of clutter? Is every closet and drawer brimming over with clothes and odds and ends creating a feeling of panic? Is the fact that your garage is storage for everything except your car making you feel like giving up? These are all natural responses that occur when how we want things to be have gotten away from us.

Let's put things in their proper perspective. What's really important? Is making sure your family is well fed, well groomed and active important? Is doing a good job at work satisfying? Is helping others when they are in need rewarding? These are the things that are truly more important than throwing out old toys or organizing your closet. And, even though putting your things in order is not the most important issue you face, it is one of the most beneficial to your well-being.

Knowing what you have. Knowing where things are. Knowing your environment is free from clutter. Just knowing can relieve uncomfortable feelings. And that's what you get when you put things in order.

So, live the benefits. Feel that sense of accomplishment and long lasting change that comes from your effort. Set aside time for the task, call a friend or call a professional. But, whatever you decide, your short-term investment in your well-being will help you move within your home with ease, give you more time, save you money and bring you freedom.

It's as simple as that!
